Nothing to upload
Your Markdown is parsed and the .docx is assembled by a Web Worker in your browser. No conversion server and no AI service sees it.
Drop a .md file or paste your text. The .docx is built inside this browser tab, so your document never reaches a server.

Each Markdown element becomes a real Word element you can keep editing, not a picture of your text. Two things don’t make the trip, and we say so up front.
Word, WPS and other editors may wrap lines and paginate differently from the preview. Check the downloaded file before you share it.

There’s no server step to trust. The converter is code that runs in your tab, and you can watch it work.
Your Markdown is parsed and the .docx is assembled by a Web Worker in your browser. No conversion server and no AI service sees it.
Your text isn’t saved to a database or to localStorage. Reloading or closing the page clears the editor.
Google Analytics loads only after you accept it, and it never receives document content. You can change your mind in the footer.
Short answers first. The Privacy Policy and Terms have the full detail.
No. Markdown parsing and Word generation happen in your browser. We do not send your content to a server or an AI service.
Headings, paragraphs, bold, italic, strikethrough, ordered and unordered lists, links, tables, quotes and fenced code. Images and raw HTML are not embedded.
Up to 150,000 characters. You can open UTF-8 .md, .markdown or .txt files up to 2 MB. The preview shows the first 20,000 characters; the download always includes the whole document.
The preview shows document structure. Word and WPS may render fonts, wrapping and pagination differently. Review the downloaded file before sharing it.
No. The converter is free and there is no account, subscription or checkout.
Not yet. That is planned for a later phase. The service converts Markdown to DOCX. Advertising and affiliate placements are not enabled.
Drop a .md file on the converter or paste your text, check the preview, then download the .docx. The Word file is built by a Web Worker inside your browser tab and the page shows 0 bytes uploaded; you can confirm in your browser’s Network tab that no document content leaves your device.
Today it converts one thing: Markdown (.md, .markdown or .txt, up to 2 MB and 150,000 characters) to an editable Word .docx file. It does not convert images (such as HEIC, JPG, WebP or PNG), video (such as MOV or MP4) or PDF files. Images inside Markdown are not embedded.
No. PrivateConverter does not open or convert PDF files. If your source text is in Markdown, the Markdown to Word converter is free, needs no account and runs in your browser.
No installation is needed. The converter runs in a current desktop browser on Windows, macOS or Linux. The page must load from the website, and the conversion itself then happens on your device.
Many online converters upload your file to their server to process it. PrivateConverter has no conversion server: parsing and Word generation happen in your browser, your text is not saved to a database or to localStorage, and Google Analytics loads only if you accept it and never receives document content.
